I am a User Experience Design, Visual Design and Product Design consultant. I write product specs. I make wireframes. I design web interfaces. I've been doing this for more than 12 years.
I specialize in conversion marketing and transactional web apps, particularly for paid online services, search, social networking and media sharing. I work with companies both large and small to help invent, develop and refine their online product experiences.
I've been privately consulting since 2006, working with a wide range of clients, from early stage startups to multinational corporations, to help them develop their product specs, user experience and overall look and feel.
In the past, I've been an agency-side Creative Director, working with Pfizer, Century 21 Real Estate, Martha Stewart Omnimedia and others to develop responsive and customer-centric Web experiences that established new benchmarks for usage, sales and lead-development.
On the client-side, I was the Director of User Experience and Design at TheLadders.com, where I hired and led a team of front-end developers, copywriters and interface designers. I helped secure venture funding and develop the overall product strategy and design, building the site from a one-page listing into a multimillion dollar job search site for $100k+ executives. Sales and membership climbed over 2400% under my watch and the company continues to use the many of the core features I developed over two years ago.
I have a B.A. from Amherst College in Fine Arts and Philosophy, and I live in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.
